Public Kitchen is Operated in Kayu Putih Red Zone Area

RW administrators together with TP PKK and Dasawisma cadres operate public kitchen built by Pulogadung Police at red zone of RT 11/09, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

Pulogadung Police will prepare the logistics, while local residents will cook the ingredients

Kayu Putih Urban Village Head, Artika Ristiana mentioned, public kitchen was set up in front of Al Amien Kayu Putih Mosque. Every day, there are 10 people from RW administrators, TP PKK and dasawisma cadres who cook in this public kitchen.

"Pulogadung Police will prepare the logistics, while local residents will cook the ingredients," she conveyed, Monday (6/7).

According to her, foods made in public kitchen will be given to 6 residents who are undergoing self-isolation. Besides, there are 35 other residents who can't go out because of mini-lockdown in the area. Therefore, 41 portions of food are made for their breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

"This public kitchen operates for 14 days. But if residents still need it, we can expand the time period," she added.

Pulogadung Sub-district Head, Bambang Pangestu stated, there are 7 joint personnel from three pillars who guard RT 11/09 Kayu Putih area. They are from Satpol PP who are assisted by TNI/Police.

There are two main access for residents to enter and exit the area. But, one access is closed, while the other access is guarded by joint personnel.

"RT 11/09 is under mini-lockdown because some residents are confirmed positive for COVID-19. It is one of our efforts to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission," he asserted.
